crust
1 cup flour
1 cup brown sugar
1/4 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp baking soda
1 pinch salt
1 cup old fashioned oats
1/2 cup softened margarine
1/4 tsp cinnamon
1/2 cup pecans- choppped
Apples---wash and slice 6-8 apples
Mix all the crust ingredients together. It should be crumbly. Pour about 1/2-3/4 of the mixture in to a sprayed 9 x 13 baking dish. Press down so the it covers the whole dish. Next wash and cut up apple slices. The apple slices are cut like you would serve to your kids. I like to use lots of apples. Depending in size anywhere from 6-8 apples. My favorite apples are gala, pink lady, brae burn, or granny smith(this is a tarter variety).
Lay the apple slices all over the crust then pour over the rest of the crumble mixture. Bake 350 for 20-25 minutes. Or until apples are softened. Serve warm with a bowl of vanilla yogurt and Shauna' caramel sauce. Oh course you could use Vanilla Bean ice cream too! This is a yummy fall dessert.
