This cake is beautiful, delicious, and too easy. Just the way I like them.
Make a 9x13 inch white or yellow cake
Just before the cake is done, make 1 small box of cherry jello according to directions on the box.
When you take the cake out of he oven, pierce the cake with a fork (all over). There should be holes all over the cake.
Immediately after poking the cake, pour the jello over the cake while still in liquid form.
Refrigerate for a couple of hours or over night
Spread cool whip on top of the cake and then evenly distribute a can of cherry pie filling over the cool whip.
